Sow True Seed is a North Carolina seed company that regularly hires artists to illustrate their seed packets. I was pretty excited to be assigned one of my favorite vegetables when it was my turn. When given a choice between a straightforward beet and the one with a friendly face the art director did not hesitate, and I love how the design turned out.
